Welcome back everyone! I hope the first few months of school have been rewarding and not overly stressful. The meeting will occur on Wednesday the 4th of November. At the meeting, we will announce several changes and major upcoming dates as well as go over registration for Science Olympiad. For those of you who have already done Science Olympiad in the past, please keep start thinking of what events you would like to request. Remember, the faster you request events, the faster I can get event assignments done, and the faster you can start studying!
The event assignments have been posted to the website and will be emailed to you at 8:00am on October 1st. This is in preparation for our October 2nd Meeting at 7:15 am! It is a mandatory meeting in which we will go over preparation and requirements for events! If you cannot attend for any reason, please contact me ASAP! I can't wait for competition this year, it looks like we're going to have a stellar team!

Thank you all so much for your dedication and hard work this past year. With all the hard work behind us, its time to look forward at next year. While 3rd place at state is a great result, we have the talent to do much better, but in order to get us there we have to start preparing right now! In order to facilitate the changes we want to see, there will be several important changes and upcoming dates to pay attention to. New Officer PositionsIn order to help create a more productive and efficient club, next year we will have a completely overhauled leadership team.
Preparing For Next YearThank you all again for working so hard this past year. From now until the end of June, there will be very little to be done to prepare for next year's events, but once the National competition is over, we will have information on next year's events and begin distributing them as necessary. We will try to make early decisions about event placements whenever possible so that people can start preparing for their events as early as possible. Remember, every day counts when it comes to event preparation. The End of Year BanquetTo celebrate the end of a good year, there will be an end of year banquet to be held after AP testing season. While this will most likely be on the 17th of May, a final date has not been confirmed. If you have any input as to what date would work best, please let us know.
Our 3rd Meeting was held on the 16th of November, at this meeting, we discussed the fundraising situation and how to prepare for your events. Reminder that you need to pay the $15 event fee in order to go to the Uintah Invitational, and you MUST RETURN THE PERMISSION SLIP BEFORE FRIDAY THE 30th of November. We expected all members of the club to be in attendance for this meeting.
Our second meeting of the year is October 1st at 7:00am. If you cannot attend the meeting, let us know by emailing us here or text one of the officers. In this meeting, we will be going over event placements, club fee, event dates, and other very important things. We have also decided on a $15 club fee to be due November 15.
We will be holding our second club meeting on October 1st 2018. The meeting will be at 7:00am in Ms. Jensen's room (C105). If you cannot attend the meeting, I will post the slideshow on the blog for everyone to look over. The event placements are listed below. Please try to contact your partners at the meeting on Monday and begin preparing for your events. Our first competitions will be in either December or early February, so it is imperative that people begin preparing for their events as soon as possible. If you have any questions about competition rules or the best way to prepare for your events contact us at [email protected].
